I had the joy of designing AWLA’s Pet Friendly logo and bringing their brand to life with a style that reflects their heart-led mission—helping animals and people thrive together.
Animal Welfare League Australia (AWLA) is a national charity dedicated to supporting animals and their humans through rescue, rehoming, foster care, vet services, and advocacy. Each year, AWLA’s six member charities care for over 55,000 companion animals, championing the bond between people and pets, especially in aged care.
By encouraging aged-care providers to be as pet-friendly as possible, AWLA’s endorsement helps reduce animal surrenders and supports seniors in keeping their beloved companions by their side.
The Pet Friendly logo I created captures this mission beautifully. The playful ‘tick,’ replacing the wagging tail, is a nod to trust, positivity, and endorsement. The pooch gazing up at their person represents the love and connection pets bring to our lives. With a splash of color, the tick transforms into a superhero cape—celebrating the life-changing role pets play in supporting their people.
I kept the style clean, modern, and approachable, ensuring it’s versatile and timeless while packed with meaning. Working with AWLA to highlight their incredible mission was an honor, and I’m proud to have crafted a brand identity that celebrates pets, people, and the powerful bond they share.
